The farmhouse is set completely on it's own in the surrounding countryside with pine hills and is ideal for those who want a different kind of holiday away from the "madding crowd". One can go walking in the surrounding hills, bird-watching, fishing or swimming in the large lakes.
There are many different varieties of birds to be seen including herons, storks, kingfishers and on occasions even an eagle.
There are horses on the land depending on the time of year.
If one wants the taste of the beaches and tourist localities one can be on the beach within half an hour by car.
There is the small town of S. B. De Messines only five mins. drive to stock up with your groceries etc. In the town there are supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, vegetable and fish markets. There is a large open air market which is held on the fourth Monday of every month. Prices here in Messines tend to be cheaper than in the tourist resorts.
